West Marin
Less populated and with a lot of open space,
West Marin fall into two different designations: The San Geronimo Valley
directly west of Fairfax, and the broader open spaces of Point Reyes, Inverness
and Nicasio. Gateway to the Point Reyes National Seashore and home to farmlands
and horse properties, West Marin has homes from all points of the compass: farm
houses built on wide, rolling grasslands, cottages in the wooded hill of
Woodacre and Forest Knolls, homes with views over Tomales Bay and an abundance
of large estate-like homes on parcels ranging anywhere from 1 to 100 acres.
Aside from the times when tourists flock to the area, one thing you’ll find in
West Marin is quiet, often married with a highly valued privacy so hard to come
by in other parts of the county.
